The comparison results as displayed in the "explain record" display changes from one record to another, and which record contributed a specific value. How does it do that to do color coding on the attributes and showing the records in a grid with the records across the X axis and the columns on the Y axis?

Is the comparison of A:B in real time like a CDC or are the changes used for the color coded display actually recorded and persisted (and therefore accessible) in the database tables?  I am asking this because I want to be able to filter outputs to truly only changed rows either since a point in time or comparing the most recent batch to the one before it (and in some cases avoid having to compare data from one file output to another file output once MDM is finished with the data).
